RESULTS -�Annual Barellan FX Ewe Sale Friday 3rd February 2012
An outstanding yarding of FX ewes sold to spirited competition at Barellan on Friday 3rd Feb 2012. The best competition revolved around the earlier drop, heavy bodied lambs for immediate joining. These March/April 2011 drop lambs sold to $230, with most sales in the $196-$220 range. The next draft of ewes made $174-$190, with later drop ewes for spring joining making from $120-$160.
In the joined ewe section the top pen of May/June 10 drop ewes scanned in lamb @ 133% made $252.�

The top price pen of ewe lambs went to Overs Partnership “Lyndale” selling 200 FX ewes April/May 11 drop, November shorn to Delta Ag HLB Cootamundra A/C Bradford @ $230, who also secured their second run of lambs @ $198.
The presentation for the Best Presented Pen of Ewe Lambs, sponsored by SJ Tonacia & Co, went to Flagg Family Trust “Townswell Park”, selling a line of 314 FX ewes March/April 11 drop, November shorn @ $228 to Foylewood Farming Co of Ariah Park, who also secured the second run of 155 @ $220. �
The sale yarded 5,440 head and averaged $190/hd. Buyers attended from Cootamundra, Forbes, Molong, Temora, Ungarie, Ariah Park, Coleambally, Leeton, Wagga, Lake Cargelligo, Yerong Creek and surrounding areas.
